I am a member of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and my faith is an
integral part of who I am. I served a full-time, 18-month mission
from March1990 to September 1991, and it was the best time of my
life so far, giving me many opportunities for growth and learning
and testimony building. Because of my LDS beliefs, and my strong
faith in them, I know that:

I am a literal child of God--he created my spirit, and I
lived with Him and everyone else who has ever lived in a pre-mortal
existence.

Jesus Christ came to earth and lived as a mortal, and
then died and was resurrected, to show me the path back to God, and to
atone for my sins.
-
We have a living prophet today, who guides and directs us
and receives continuing revelation from God.
-
The Book of Mormon contains the
word of God, and gives an account of Jesus Christ visiting the people of
the American continent, after his death and resurrection in Jerusalem.
